The property is situated in West Compton on a small private estate, in an area of designated outstanding natural beauty.  The surrounding countryside offers some of the best walking, horse riding, photographic opportunities and painting matter.  There are also coarse fishing lakes which local residents are welcome to enjoy.  West Compton is a small friendly village with it's own private church and only 21 houses.  There is a thriving social scene with several communal events organised each year.  The village is only five minutes from the A35 making Bridport, Dorchester, Weymouth and the towns beyond easily accessible.  The A37 is ten minutes away, giving access to the extensive shopping facilities of Yeovil and the pretty villages of Sydling St Nicholas and Cerne Abbas.
